Gait analysis system is used to detect gait abnormalities & monitor gait changes in the patient. Our gait analysis protocol is based on Rancho Los Amigos (RLA) terminology & assesses the Pelvis, Hip, Knee & Foot motion during the Gait Cycle. We utilize these findings in the design of your custom orthotics.
KEY DATA MEASURED BY THE GAIT ANALYSIS SYSTEM
A detailed report with reference values, highlighting abnormal gait patterns in the patient.
Comparison between left and right extremity gait of the patient
Accurate identification of muscle imbalances using Kinematic graphs
Monitor gait changes through pre-post comparisons to evaluate orthotic treatment.
We captures dynamic steps and calculates normal foot function for the patient. The logic of a dynamic diagnosis is that pathology occurs while a person is in motion, not while sitting or lying down. A normal person takes approximately 10,000 steps a day. It is abnormal foot function that creates ongoing foot and musculoskeletal conditions.
Orthotics have a positive effect on the alignment of the foot. The alignment has a big influence on complaints of the lower extremities: hip, knee, ankle and the lower back. An orthotic creates a good basis for the foot which can have a positive effect on joints or joint problems.
As medical director for Resa, my duties often require some travel. I will be out of the office for an extended period starting the 28th of September..
The office will be open for scanning appointments only, the design and printing will be done by myself off site, and then mailed to you!
